Meet Our Team

Dr. Joseph P Stapleton is an Interventional Pain Specialist who is board certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine in Pain Medicine and by the American Board of Anesthesiology in Anesthesia.  He has practiced medicine in Portland for over 27 years and is a member of the International Spinal Intervention Society, North America Neuromodulation Society and American Society of Interventional Pain Practitioners.

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Russell “Rusty” Kinder is an Anesthesiologist and an Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-Accredited Interventional Pain Fellowship trained Pain Specialist.  Completing a fellowship in pain medicine at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, he has spent the majority of his life and medical career in the Pacific Northwest.  Dr. Kinder will be joining our practice in August.

 

 

 

 

 

Cynthia S. Weaver, ANP-C – is a nurse practitioner who has specialized in pain management since the 1980′s. She is a member of the American Pain Society and the Society for Pain Management Nurses. She has a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and nursing. She is nationally boarded in Pain Management and as an adult nurse practitioner.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Samuel Lopez, PA-C graduated from Oregon Health and Science University with a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies. He previously worked and received additional training in Colorado where he specialized in neurological surgery with an emphasis on spinal disorders.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Layne Biesenthal is our Clinical Director.  She has worked in the medical field for 9 years and the last 5 have been in Pain Management.  She works to facilitate care and as a liaison to the providers.

 

 

 

 

 

  

Deven is our Director of Business Development. He has worked in the medical field for 22 years and the last 10 in Pain Management.
